In partnership with Port Arthur News, Port Arthur LNG held its third annual Environmental Champions ceremony this week, awarding grants to community organizations leading environmental projects, programs and efforts improving sustainability in their community. This year a total of $65,000 was awarded to 16 nonprofit organizations serving Sabine Pass, Port Arthur and other neighboring Jefferson County communities. Investing in the communities in which employees live and work is Port Arthur LNG’s way of doing the right thing, championing people, and shaping the future.
Recipients were selected by a community panel made up of local leaders and the Port Arthur LNG team with grant awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. These organizations will carry out their projects between April and August of this year.
