Community Grant, Partnership & Sponsorship Programs

- Organizations holding a current tax-exempt status as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRS)
- Organizations holding a current tax-exempt status as a civic league, social welfare organization or local association under Section 501(c)(4) of the IRS
- A recognized government entity – state, county or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments, that are requesting funds exclusively for public purposes
- A K-12 public or nonprofit private school, community/junior college, state/private college or university; or a church or other faith-based organization with a proposed project that benefits the community at large, such as food pantries, soup kitchens and other programs
Ineligible organizations
- Political campaigns and lobbying groups
- Organizations that conflict with Sempra Infrastructure’s mission, safety standards or community investment focus areas
- Sports and recreational teams or clubs (e.g. little league, rodeo teams, community athletics teams, cheer squads, etc.)
- For-profit businesses and individuals
- Organizations that proselytize


Key Focus Areas
Guided by our social investment strategy, we support organizations that align with at least one of our key focus areas below.
- Safety net programs for working families (e.g., initiatives that provide essential resources such as childcare, transportation, or food assistance to help families maintain employment and stability)
- Workforce development & employment: Address gaps in skills and create pathways to higher-wage jobs (workforce and career readiness programs, adult education, technical certifications)
- Community resources: Enable residents to have access to resources that support work and daily life, such as access to childcare, transportation and food security
- Community enhancements: Invest in infrastructure recreation and other amenities that attract and retain talent while enhancing the quality of life for the community
- Safety initiatives: Programs and projects that promote public safety and emergency preparedness
- Wetland, marsh and wildlife habitat restoration projects
- Community gardens, recycling programs and green infrastructure initiatives
- Climate resilience projects that enhance community preparedness and adaptation
Geographic Focus
Funding opportunities are available to organizations serving communities in our operational areas, particularly those directly impacted by our projects, facilities and pipelines.

Sponsorships
Funding amount: $500 to $5,000
Applications accepted year-round
Sponsorships provide funding for events led by nonprofit organizations and community groups that support community programs or deliver activities that directly benefit local community members.

Community Grants
Funding amount: up to $10,000
Application deadline: February 13, 2026
Community grants provide targeted financial support for small-scale, high-impact projects that address immediate local needs and foster community well-being. This is a one-time annual funding opportunity.

Funding amount: funding begins at $10,000
Proposals accepted year-round
Partnerships fund large-scale, long-term initiatives that are aligned with our key focus areas: economic prosperity, increasing opportunity and climate action/biodiversity.
Proposals are accepted year-round. Multi-year funding opportunities are available based on the scope and impact of the initiative.

EmpowerEd
Funding amount: $500 to $10,000
Application deadline: 2026 Education Grant application window will be open August 10–21, 2026.
EmpowerEd Teacher Grant Program, supports high-impact classroom projects and school-based initiatives that inspire student success. This program is open to all campus-level instructional staff and teams.
