Tell us a little about yourself.
I was born and raised in Bridge City and have lived there my whole life. I have three children, all of whom have lived in this community since birth. My family has deep roots in the community through years of coaching and playing sports, and I have continued that tradition by coaching Little Dribblers Basketball. My children and I enjoy fishing at our local beaches and parks and try to fish as much as possible.
I joined Sempra Infrastructure nearly one year ago, and have worked in construction for 16 years. Most of my career has been in finance, including auditing and cost.
I also currently a student at Lamar University, completing my MBA in Construction Project Management.
Tell us about your role as a senior cost control analyst.
As the senior cost control analyst for Port Arthur LNG Phase 1, I review, analyze, and help forecast all costs relevant to the project. The primary function of my responsibilities is to review all labor costs and assess how they affect the budget.
My favorite aspect of my job is the interactions with other departments, receiving their feedback on staffing and other cost control matters that pertain to their specific areas.
From your vantage point, what impact is Port Arthur LNG making in the community?
The impact that this project will have on this community is tremendous! We are committed to hiring and sourcing locally, which benefits families and the overall economy in our community. As construction on the project progresses, and we hire more employees, the community will benefit financially through local spending at our restaurants, stores, housing, and other ancillary businesses.
Thank you, Ashley, for sharing your story with us. We deeply appreciate your contributions to the success of the Sempra Infrastructure and Port Arthur LNG Teams.
